Founded in October 2006 in France, Solairedirect is the first pure French solar power operator. Its goal is to make solar power accessible to everyone.
2011
July: Inauguration of the Solar PV park in Saint-Hilaire du Rosier.
June: Six partnership contracts signed with housing developers.
May: Inauguration of the Solar PV park in Esparron-de-Verdon. The electricity generation costs for this park are 15.40 Euro cents per kWh.
April:
- Launch of SDDirectPro and Solairedirect Home Solutions in France. The new initiatives are aimed at professionals in the building and housing development sector.
- Munich Re and Solairedirect jointly launched a unique insurance solution to cover the long-term performance technology risk of PV modules manufactured by Solairedirect.
March: Creation of Solairedirect Morocco.
February: Operational commissioning of the “Les Mées” solar PV park (24MW).
2010
December: Creation of Solairedirect Chile.
November: Launch with Rhodia of a solar power facility with 12,000 square meters of PV panels.
September: Opening of the first “Solairedirect shop” in Avignon and Angoulême.
July: Completion of the €80 million financial operation to launch a project to build three new solar parks.
June: Creation of Solairedirect India.
May: Launch of “Results” contracts for private clients, a unique package of services and guarantees.
March: Creation of a project team to set up a company in Morocco.
2009
December: With €50 million in financing, Solairedirect began the construction of its third solar park. The first regional agreement was signed with Ségolène Royal, the President of the Poitou Charentes region.
November: Solairedirect South Africa was set up. The subsidiary is specialised in developing, building and operating photovoltaic power plants.
July: With €50 million in financing, Solairedirect began the construction of its second solar PV park.
June: Solairedirect and 123 Venture entered into a partnership to make a €2.5 million investment in rooftop installations.
April: Launch of the partnership with Maaf and the generation guarantee for private clients.
February: Solaire Durance completed the construction of its first solar park in Vinon-sur-Verdon.
January: Solairedirect Technologies produced its first photovoltaic modules.
2008
November: A second fund-raising operation brought in €20 million through an increase in capital.
July: Solairedirect passed the mark of 1,000 residential installations.
May: First agreements signed by the Rooftops Business Unit.
March: Solairedirect Technologies, subsidiary producing photovoltaic panels in Cape Town (South Africa) launched.
January: Launch of partnership with Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence, enabling farmers and businesses to become producers of solar power.
2007
December: Solaire Durance, a joint venture between Solairedirect and Caisse des Dépôts set up.
September: Launch of the “peace of mind & performance” package for individual customers.
July: First photovoltaic loan for private individuals in partnership with Caisse d’Épargne Provence-Alpes-Corse.
March: First fund-raising operation brought in €6.1 million through a capital increase.
February: First lease signed to build a solar park in Vinon-sur-Verdon.
